Fifth Sunday Unity Service
Our first Fifth Sunday Unity Service will be March 31. The service will be at 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary, followed by our Unity Luncheon in the J.O. Smith Building. As always, the church will provide fried chicken and drinks, and you are invited to bring side dishes and desserts. The Epworth Class has been asked to help with set-up and clean-up, but anyone willing to help is welcome. Join us for good worship, good food, and good fellowship on March 31.
UMCOR Sunday (formerly known as “The One Great Hour of Sharing”) will be March 31. UMCOR stands for United Methodist Committee on Relief, which is an outreach arm of our General Board of Global Ministries. UMCOR responds to immediate disaster needs as well as ongoing crisis situations (such as famine). UMCOR is able to do this because of the generosity of United Methodists around the world in responding to appeals for assistance. When an appeal is made and you respond, you can be assured that 100% of your gift goes to the project—no administrative costs are taken out. UMCOR can do this because of the UMCOR Sunday offering—these funds cover the administrative costs of UMCOR as well as helping to fund projects that are underfunded. This church is part of the great tradition of United Methodists helping God’s children affected by disaster—please continue that tradition with a generous gift on March 31!
The next gathering of Keenagers will be Wednesday, April 3, at 12:00 noon in the J.O. Smith Building. Henry and Barbara Intili will talk about their recent walking tour of Ireland. The cost of the meal is $5—please make your reservations with the Church Office!

Praying Our Way Forward in the Annual Conference
As the South Georgia Annual Conference continues to deal with the aftermath of General Conference 2019, and as we prepare for our 2019 Annual Conference session (at which we will elect clergy and lay delegates for the regularly-scheduled General Conference 2020), we are invited to be in prayer for one another, for our Annual Conference, and for our denomination. The Annual Conference has provided a 12-week prayer guide entitled Patches of Prayer: A Guide for the Soul in Love with God. Each week’s section provides a Guiding Word, a Scripture to be read, an Invitation to Prayer, a place for a response, and a Closing Prayer. You can find this guide in PDF format at www.sgaumc.org/patches-of-prayer.
