Christmas Eve at Spring Hill Farm
Christmas Eve Worship is a very special experience. Carols, Candles, and Communion shared in the community of faith ground our celebration of Christmas in the joy of the coming of the Christ child. While we all continue to hope and pray for a return to normalcy, we also acknowledge that we have no idea what will be happening in the end of December. We also do not want some of the difficult choices we have made in recent weeks like limited capacity for worship, reservations or other such concerns to negatively impact our celebration of Christmas Eve. In a sea of changing information, one consistent guideline has been outside events are much safer for gathering crowds than indoor events. In order to accommodate as many people who desire to come on Christmas Eve, we have decided to hold our worship service at Spring Hill Farm this year. This worship service will be like nothing we have ever done before. The staff and volunteers are working hard to make this service meaningful and creative. Our children and youth will have important parts in the service. We are investigating the ability to have a drive-up option as well for those who desire to be a part of worship, while separated from others. While this Christmas Eve will be different, it may be the most special as we celebrate the child born in a stable. We will offer our Communion only service earlier in the day. That service will be moved to the sanctuary to allow us to spread out. Look for more details to come.
