KidzQuest is this weekend! This fall retreat for students in 3rd-6th grades is sponsored by South Georgia’s Connectional Ministries and brings so much energy (and noise!) to the grounds of Epworth By The Sea. Five hundred children and adult leaders come together with dozens of other church groups, learning how to worship, study God's Word, and understand what a relationship with Jesus really means. Amidst beautiful coastal scenery, these children are given an opportunity to experience Christ in brand new ways! Remember our kids as they enjoy this special trip!
Church Council Meeting-September 23
Church Council meets on Monday, September 23, at 6:00 p.m. in the J. O. Smith Building. This meeting is important because we are approving all necessary information for Charge Conference such as those nominated to serve in leadership in 2020 and the pastor’s compensation package. We will also review plans for the Advent season and hear about some exciting plans for the spring. Please make every effort to attend. While all members of the council are expected to attend, Church Council meetings are open to all members of the congregation to attend.

Food Bank Schedule
The Food Bank is open during our regular schedule of Tuesday mornings, for one hour from 9:00 a.m. until 10: 00 a.m. They operate out of the Adult Sunday School Building, 232 W. Shotwell St.
Sound Operators Needed
The new sound system is to be installed on Friday, August 31. Part of that installation includes training of our members in how to use it effectively. The new system will be run remotely by an iPad. This means you can sit right in your usual spot with your family and run the sound for the whole room. If you can pay attention closely to the service, have normal hearing, and can operate an iPad, we need your help. We are looking for 5 people to complete the training (2 regulars and 3 back up people). Please let Pastor Melissa know if you are willing to serve in this capacity. The training time will be scheduled for a later date. We will let you know when it is.
