Esther Bible Study The Esther Bible Study will begin meeting on Wednesday, September 5, at 6:40 p.m. in our classroom in the Sunday School Building. We will begin with an 8-week study of the Letter to the Philippians. This study, part of the Following God Series, has a short video segment to help guide our discussion. Pastor’s Wednesday Night Study Pastor Mike is leading a study entitled “The Seven Words of Grace” on Wednesdays at 6:45 p.m. in Reynolds Chapel (following Christian Fellowship Dinner). This is a study Pastor Mike developed, based on the work of noted church growth consultant Kennon Callahan and the revised edition of Twelve Keys to an Effective Church. This study looks at seven words (and related biblical passages) that speak to us about God’s love for us and for the world in Jesus. Join us on Wednesdays at 6:45 p.m. for this study!
Thursday Morning Fall Bible Study Imagine sitting on the side of a mountain with a hot breeze blowing around you listening to someone talk about blessedness, the Lord’s Prayer, religious devotion, money, ambition, and relationships. Sermon on the Mount by Jen Wilkin is a nine-week study with these familiar teachings which challenge us in our desires to be good citizens of the kingdom of heaven.
We will meet in the Library of the Sunday School Building on Thursdays from 10:00-11:30 from September 6 through November 1 as we embark on this new journey. This is a wonderful opportunity to hear Jesus speak directly to us through this study. Please join us.
